Oklahoma City assistant general manager Rob Hennigan seems to be the favorite for the vacant Orlando Magic general manager position according to Yahoo! Sports.
Orlando has limited the field to three guys. The aforementioned Hennigan, Spurs’ assistant general manager Dennis Lindsey and former Hornets general manager Jeff Bower. Orlando wants to fill their vacancy within about 10 days prior to the 2012 NBA Draft, scheduled for June 28th.
Yahoo! Sports explains Hennigan’s credentials.
“Hennigan has followed a similar path as his boss, Thunder GM Sam Presti: an Emerson College alum who was hired as an intern in San Antonio and rose through the ranks. Hennigan is finishing his fourth year in Oklahoma City, where he was promoted from director of college/international player personnel to assistant GM/player personnel two years ago.”
