Last night, Tim Duncan was instrumental in the Spurs 10 point victory over the Memphis Grizzlies as Joe Bendiez pointed out in his recap. Duncan tied his season high with 28 points and 12 boards. Duncan has essentially patented the 20-10 box score but, even so, I remain genuinely surprised that he’s still playing this well in his 15th season.

So, how well is Timmy playing this year? Here’s a brief look at other notable Hall of Famers and their 15th seasons (Editor’s note: stats are adjusted per 36 minutes to cover for any discrepancies in minutes).

And here’s some advanced statistics I happened to gleam (translation: I have no life).

Duncan’s ranks in the respective categories: third in DRtg, third in rebounds, fourth in assists, fourth in blocks, sixth in points, T-seventh in ORtg, eighth in WS/48, 10th in TS%.

I’m not going to make any outlandish assertions but it appears that Duncan is playing really well despite 46,197 minutes on his odometer.
