Game #7 Preview:: Spurs vs Clippers

Tonight our beloved Spurs look to get off to their best record since way back in the 2007-2008 season.  Right now the silver and black are sitting at 5-1 on the season and will host the Los Angeles Clippers whom have not had much success in the Alamo City.

Looking around many Spurs sites I saw a good post on Pounding the Rock in their preview.  Seems as if Baron Davis is in Vinny Del Negro’s doghouse for being out of shape.

You’re probably aware that Baron Davis is in Coach Del Negro’s doghouse, effectively benched for being out of shape.  So it looks like they’re going with a teenaged former UK shooting guard (Eric Bledsoe) to start at PG.  Shades of TP’s first year, no? ?

What you may not know (though it was reported on RealGM two days earlier than the BDL story) is that the Clippers are checking around to see who might be interested in the remainder of Baron’s contact. At nearly $42 million for another 3 years, probably no one sane.  Well, maybe they’ll be able to work out something with the Timberwolves.  They’re not giving Love as much PT as fans seem to want for him, so maybe Kahn will deal him to the Clippers.  After all, he probably wants another PG on his roster, lol.
