Southwest Division match-up between the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets taken into NBA 2K11 to predict the outcome of tonight’s game.

On the season we are 1-1 doing the simulations.  Last one we did was for the game against the Suns, and thankfully the ‘real’ team proved the simulation wrong.

You know what happens after the jump.

Virtual Timmeh ripped down 17 boards to go with his 29 points against the Rockets.

It took overtime to do it, but the San Antonio Spurs have moved to 4-1 on the season and the Rockets still remain grounded as they fall to 0-5 on the season.

Tim Duncan led the charge for the home squad, as he dropped in 29 points as well as grabbing 17 rebounds in the 104 to 102 win.  The most impressive stat from Duncan isn’t the points nor the rebounds he grabbed, but the way he performed at the line.  Virtual Tim went 7 for 7!

Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili didn’t have their usual games but the bench came through.

Oh and Richard Jefferson did not have himself a great night either, he went 2 of 5 from the floor for six points.

For the bench, Anderson, Hill and Neal stepped it up to combine for 36 points as Anderson led with 15 and Hill added 13.

As for the 0-5 Rockets, Aaron Brooks and Luis Scola scored 20 and 22 respectively. Yao Ming coming off of the injury that sidelined him last season put in 15 points and grabbed 10 boards.  Kevin Martin also pitched in 15.

Turnovers plagued the Spurs late in this game as they had a total of 20 for the game.  They did force 15 from the Rockets, but a game that was too close for comfort as the Spurs saw a 15 point lead vanish at the end.

A win is a win.  Lets hope our real Spurs don’t have this much trouble against the Rockets.
