Blair Will Start

A little over a week ago I posted this piece wherein I stated:
As you’ve no doubt noticed, Blair and Duncan have started the last two games at the front court positions and Parker and Ginobili at the guards. Given that RJ is the obvious starter at small forward I think that we have a really good indication of who will be on the floor versus Indiana for the opening tip. In my opinion, it is pretty clear that Pop intends to go with a starting line-up of Tony, Manu, RJ, Beast, and Timmy, which I gotta say is one of the better starting line-ups the Spurs have fielded in recent years.
Well, it looks like it is offical according to Mike Monroe at the Express-News:
At age 21, DeJuan Blair is about to become the youngest opening night starter for the Spurs since 20-year-old Tony Parker was on the floor for the opening tip of the 2002-03 season.
I’ve been clammoring for DeBeast to have a bigger role on this team since ’round about December of last year, and it looks like he’s finally earned it. Good luck DeJuan, may the rebounding prowess of Dennis Rodman always be at your back, the hustle of Malik Rose power your legs, and the smoothness of DRob guide your way.
