“George Hill is my favorite.”

So this morning at breakfast, I discovered that my five-year-old son apparently has something in common with Coach Pop, his favorite Spur is George Hill. This is what he told me, “George Hill is my favorite, because I’m a little bit of a Spurs fan like you are Daddy, and he was helping them win.” It was a strangely proud moment for me, because I had no idea that any of what was coming from the TV during the playoffs was making any sort of impression on him. Turns out in his own way he was taking it all in.

I guess that means that I have to rescind my trade idea invovling Hill to the Pacers, because if something like that ever happened I would have to try and explain the business of the NBA to someone that just wouldn’t understand. Plus, I’d feel partly guilty for putting that thought out into the universe…stupid “Secret”.
