Game 2 Quick Cap: Spurs 102, Suns 110

San Antonio finds themselves down 2-0 against the Phoenix Suns as they could not keep up with the fast paced Suns dropping game two, 110 to 102. Phoenix got key contributions from Jared Dudley and Channing Frye. Frye went for 15 points hitting 5 of 6 from the three point line. Dudley went for 11 and 6 rebounds.
For the Spurs, Richard Jefferson came out to play as he played his best basketball of the playoffs. He scored 18 points in 43 minutes. He was 8 of 13 from the floor. Jefferson showed his slashing skills and also hit down some key jumpers that he was lacking in game one.
Tony Parker did not start but ended up playing 36 minutes and scoring 20 points. He also hit 2 out of 2 from three point. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili found themselves in foul trouble late in the game. Duncan was forced to sit out and Suns took advantage.
George Hill showed San Antonio some life hitting two key three’s from each corner. He finished with 14.
Spurs shot 50% from the field as the Suns 42%. Offensive rebounding was a key for the Suns as they were +11 in that category.
Phoenix’s Steve Nash and Jason Richardson finished with 19. Stat added 23 and Hill 18. Suns bench played key again in their win contributing 31.
Game three and four now shift to San Antonio where we are hoping to get back into the series.
