Season series: San Antonio 118, Golden State 104, November 25th
San Antonio 103, Golden State 91, December 15th
Analysis: The Spurs are hot and are facing a Golden State team that is thinking about next season already. The Warriors have 3 solid scorers in Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry and Corey Maggette but are the worst defensive team in the NBA. Their post players also are below league average. The Spurs should be able to take advantage of the easy opportunities provided and hopefully Tim Duncan can get back on track after suffering through a bit of a down stretch.
The Warriors, while not very good, are still a dangerous team as they seem to be playing hard until the end. The Spurs should win but it may be closer than expected.
Ian Mahinmi Index: Medium. The Warriors aren’t a good team but have been playing really hard so there’s a possibility that he could get in but nothing is guaranteed.
