George Hill hasn’t had much to apologize for over the past year and a half of basketball. Yesterday though, the 2nd year guard issued a statement on a topic that is rather “out of bounds.”
Pictures obtained by thedirty.com showed the Spurs guard naked in front of a bathroom mirror, the same type of picture that surfaced online of Portland center Greg Oden. About the pictures Hill said:
“A year ago, I made a mistake and take full responsibility for my actions. I have matured and learned from this episode. I would like to apologize to my girlfriend, my family, all of our great fans and the Spurs organization.”
“Glad that he is manning up to it,” thedirty.com owner Nik richie posted. “But I am sure this will not be the last time he smiles for the camera.”
The Spurs have sent a cease and desist letter to the website to get the photos removed, however, they are still up.
