Spurs officially kick off their summer league.

The San Antonio Spurs saw themselves down at the end of one to the Hornets but a strong second half and 25 from Spurs guard George Hill, San Antonio went away with a 92 to 86 win.

Hill was 7 of 13 from the floor and 11 of 11 from the free throw line.

Outside of George Hill many wondered how the ‘new’ guys did.  Well DeJuan Blair showed what he is going to bring to the table come regular season.  Blair seemed to be in form as he scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  He was 4 of 7 from the floor and 5 of 6 from the free throw line.  A big man that can hit free throws, isn’t that what we need on the team?

Jack McClinton played 15 minutes and scored just two points.  He had one assist, two turnovers and was in foul trouble with four.

Newly signed Malik Hairston scored 16 in 29 minutes.

The Spurs are off on Monday and will hit the court against the Denver Nuggets at 7:00 pm.
