Parkers Drops 38 To Lead Spurs in Game 2

San Antonio, Texas — We should be up two games on the Mavericks but our game one blunders in the second half cost us the game and the Mavericks bench just went nuts on us. But in game two, different story, roles reversed.

Tony Parker……prett much all I have to say.

From the start of the game to the end Parker set the tone and quickly proved to the Mavericks that they were going to have to do anything and everything to stop him……they tried, and failed.

Parker in the first quarter took control and went off. He scored 19 in the first quarter and showed his team that he was ready to play and that he would do all he could in getting them a victory in San Antoino last night.

Once Parker went to the bench I felt pretty good with the way the team was playing. Drew Gooden came in (thank god) and gave us energy and hustle.

Memo to Pop: Gooden is a scorer we need him in!

Gooden played 18 minutes and scored 13.

Though the Mavericks bench outscored us yet again, 38 to 26, we still managed to hit key shots down the stretch and go on runs to tie the series up at two.

Parker played the best game of his playoff career in my eyes, and to Charles Barkley, he said Tony was the ‘Best in the World’ lastnight!

Hell though there were only two games, he did play like an MVP.

Game three is Thursday on NBA TV!
