]]> Rather than standing pat in light of injuries to Kawhi Leonard (quadriceps tendinitis) and Stephen Jackson (fractured finger), the San Antonio Spurs are looking at a couple of options to replace their depleted small forward rotation.

Along with James Anderson, the Spurs have been looking at Boston Celtics forward Mickael Pietrus according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

Pietrus has yet to play in an NBA game this season but has received interest from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors.

Pietrus is an average 3-point shooter (35.7 percent for his career) and he limited opposing small forwards to a slightly above-average player efficiency rating (15.9) according to 82games.com. He would be the fourth Frenchman on the roster.

There is just one caveat: The Spurs are currently under the NBA’s $70.3 million luxury tax line by approximately $1.1 million, making it difficult to sign the 10-year veteran Pietrus.
