[Editor's note: Staff writer Richard Perez covered the Spurs' 104-97 victory over the Indiana Pacers.]

In their second game of a six game road trip, San Antonio went to Indiana to take on the Pacers. In a meeting with our old friend George Hill, the Spurs were lead by Tony Parker who was seemingly on fire all night.

Parker had a double-double with 33 points and 10 assists and helped the Spurs erase a 17 point deficit with a 20-7 run to sink the Pacers.

The Spurs shut down the Pacers as a unit behind Manu Ginobili’s 19 points and Tim Duncan’s 22 points to cap off a 17-2 run. The Spurs have had their struggles early, but come crunch time, the Spurs have always come back.

Calm and collected resilience is the quota for the Spurs. As the Pacers were running the third quarter, the Spurs would fire back with 30 points in the fourth.

We can only sit and marvel at the beautiful basketball that is being played before our eyes.

The Spurs will continue on the road trip going north of the border to Toronto, Ontario to take on the Raptors (3-10). Tip off is at 12 p.m. CST on Sunday and the game can be seen locally on Fox Sports Southwest.

MVParker: Parker is once again amazing fans and critics alike, playing as if he’s on an MVP campaign. He’s had an amazing start to the road trip, dropped averages of 29.5 points, eight assists and 67.5 percent shooting.

3-point shooting: Last season’ top shooting team (39.3 percent from behind the arc) missed 15 of 17 3-pointers in the win. The Spurs happened to win twice last season while making two or fewer 3-pointers.
