Two days rest proved to be a bit too beneficial for the ageless Spurs in to Game Two. San Antonio set the tone early, and the Jazz never recovered. It was a dominating performance on a night honoring both Gregg Popovich’s second Coach of the Year Award and the Austin Toros winning the NBA D-League championship.

So as every other team is trying to get in to postseason form, Popovich’s squad seemed to already be there Wednesday night. Honestly, San Antonio has looked that way for all of April, and it looks like it has carried over in to May.

He made some typical Anderson-like plays, but he didn’t ruin the blowout. Grade: C

DeJuan Blair, C  23:25 MIN | 5-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 7 REB | 2 AST | 10 PTS | -5

This was a decent outing for D-Blair, but obviously losing playing time with Diaw built better to handle Utah’s bigs. Grade: C+

Matt Bonner, PF 8:49 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 PTS | -5

Other than a hard hit to the ground, Bonner was pretty non-existent in this one. Grade: C

Boris Diaw, PF 28:13 MIN | 5-6 FG | 0-0 FT | 6 REB | 4 AST | 11 PTS | +41

Need I say more with that plus/minus? Diaw continuing to be the extra piece Spurs have been missing. Grade: A

Tim Duncan, C 26:57 MIN | 5-10 FG | 2-2 FT | 13 REB | 1 AST | 12 PTS | +36

The Big Fundamental once again providing just enough and crashing the boards well. Nothing to complain about. Grade: A

Manu Ginobili, SG 18:50 MIN | 2-6 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 3 AST | 4 PTS | +2

He might as well have taken the night off. Manu still looks out of sync, or he’s just saving his energy for a more worthy team. Grade: C+

Danny Green, G 21:18 MIN | 5-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 2 AST | 13 PTS | +31

Green’s versatility has to be frustrating for any team that has to deal with him. Grade: A-

Stephen Jackson, SG 21:27 MIN | 2-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 3 AST | 5 PTS | -2

Other than a three-ball to keep piling on the points, Jackson went quietly in this one. Grade: B-

Kawhi Leonard, SF 24:43 MIN | 6-7 FG | 2-2 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 17 PTS | +36

He’s the future. For just a rookie, he’s continued to make a huge impact, and you can only imagine how good the Spurs could’ve been last year if you interchanged RJ with Kawhi. Grade: A+

Patrick Mills, PG 14:06 MIN | 4-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 9 PTS | -3

Patty stepped in the fourth to finish off the rout, giving Tony Parker’s feet more time to rest for Game Three Saturday. Grade: B

Gary Neal, PG 14:47 MIN | 5-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 11 PTS | -5

Neal didn’t exactly go off from long range, but while getting over that stinger, Neal is still a serviceable back-up. Grade: B-

Tony Parker, PG 27:43 MIN | 6-10 FG | 6-6 FT | 4 REB | 9 AST | 18 PTS | +34

San Antonio’s overly optimistic MVP campaign for TP9 continues. Parker completely clowned the Jazz. Grade: A+

Conclusion. Everything went right for the Spurs, and now they get another two days off after going up 2-0 on Utah.
