Raja Bell to play a little Jazz
Big Z joins Big L
Zydrunas Ilgauskas has decided to join LBJ in Miami. Ilgauskas will sign for the veteran minimum of $1.3 million.
So now they are up to 7, and looking more and more dangerous next year. I have my doubts about the long term future of this group though.
Boozer Who?
You may have heard by now that the Jazz and the T’wolves are working on a trade that would send Al Jefferson to the SLC using the Trade Exception garnered when the helped Boozer on his way out the door. Minnesota will most likely net some combination of draft picks in the deal for David Kahn to eff-up in the future…maybe he’ll draft only ‘tweeners next time, or only Eurpean centers.
Here we are once again…
After a busy few days, the free-agency landscape looks a little different. You’ll find the updated free agents list on the other side
Heat getting hotter
In addition to the “mega three”, the Heat also have signed, or will sign, Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem.
I think that means they now have six players under contract/ committed to next year.
Offseason Fun Continues
Latest bit of big news is that the Bobcats, Raptors, and Sun are involved in a deal. ‘Cats would get Calderon, Suns net Hedo, and Raps grab Diaw, Barbosa, and Chandler.
Most significant element, the Chris Bosh TE is left untouched.
Ouch! How does that feel hearing that from your former employer LeBron?
Well I am sure that you are not even looking at what your ‘faithful’ are saying in Cleveland the morning after you decided to take your shoe and kick them all between the legs.
You still don’t care?
Yeah I believe it. The three members of the so called “South Beach Super Team” probably went out to dinner lastnight and Wade showed them around town, blah, blah, blah.
Oh but today is where all the entertainment will commence from the LeBronathon.
Follow me over.
SEE YA CLEVELAND
Well if you have been watching and have seen, LEBRON JAMES IS HEADED TO SOUTH BEACH with the Miami Heat. He just kicked the Cavaliers faithful where it hurts, stabbed them in the back.
I must say that I for one am not surprised that this happened, why he still needed an hour special is beyond me but hell the guy loves the spotlight.
Now that this is over can we move on!!!!????
So if this doesn’t point to The King signing with the Miami Heat then I don’t know what does.
According to People Magazine, LeBron has rented six cabanas on south beach for this weekends party. This indeed will fuel the fire as LeBron is indeed headed to Miami.
He will make his official announcement tonight at 9 PM ET on ESPN in a hour long show entitled, “The Decision”.
As you know, July 8th of every year the NBA announces the salary cap for the upcoming season, and the figure for this season is a bit of a surprise. The salary cap figure for the 2010-11 season, will be $58.044 million, which represents an increase from last season’s $57.7 million. Which is above the projections released earlier this year.
Other cap figures were released as well those are:
- Midlevel exception — $5.765 million
- Luxury-tax threshold — $70.307 million
- Maximum salaries — $13.604, $16.324, & $19.045 million depending on experience
I’ll have to check to see how this affects the Tiago and RJ situations.
