Report: Spurs Finalizing A Five Year Contract Extension For Tiago Splitter

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports just tweeted that the San Antonio Spurs and Tiago Splitter are in the process of finalizing a four year contract extension which would pay Splitter roughly $9 million a year.

San Antonio is finalizing a five year, $45 million contract extension for center Tiago Splitter, league sources tell Y! Sports.

There are already a lot of mixed reactions on twitter about the contract extension the Spurs are giving Splitter. I for one like the fact that he is staying with San Antonio. He is a young player and playing beside Tim Duncan, that is a given what he can continue to learn and get from the Big Fundamental.
