San Antonio Spurs big man, Tiago Splitter according to Jeff Garcia of Project Spurs, will be testing the free agency market.  Splitter is having his best season overall since joining the team. In his third season, he is averaging 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, shooting 73% from the free throw line and 57% from the field this season.

In his rookie season, to put it lightly, was a little trying for him.  I admit, when he was in the game to me it did not look like he knew what was going on.  He has come a long way since then.

He is in his final contract year and will become a free agent when the season ends.  With his output the past few years, and the year he is having now, surely the Spurs, and any other team in that matter, will be likely to show Splitter the money.  As Mr. Garcia states, he will be weighing his options.

I think he will stay unless some team throw a ridiculous amount of money at him.

Hey, let him leave. There are many free agents like Andray Blatche, JJ Hickson and even Al Jefferson at the end of the current season. The Spurs can even consider Varejao or move up in the 2013 draft thru trade. He will NOT be missed.
