Argentine Newspaper Alleges Ginobili Could Sign A Three Year Deal With San Antonio

Spurs blog Pounding the Rock early today posted a link to an Argetine paper, allegedly, without even giving a name of a source, that the San Antonio Spurs will do what ever they can to prevent Manu Giniobili for testing the free agent market this summer by offering him a three-year deal.

If you remember at the start of training camp, Ginobili stated that he did not have any desire to play anywhere else.

Pound the Rock goes on to question the possibility of this three-year deal, noting that it would not coincide with the 2015 expiration of Tony Parker and Tim Duncan.  Dan McCarney over at Spurs Nation discusses that he doesn’t think this is an issue as the age of Ginobili could be the problem, because he would be at the start of next season 36.
