San Antonio Spurs shooting guard Manu Ginobili (back) is questionable for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers according to Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News.
Ginobili’s injury has been a recurring issue. He suffered from lumbar back spasms, which sidelined the 35-year-old veteran for over a week and caused him to miss the first two regular season games.
In five games this season, Ginobili is averaging 8.8 points, four assists, 2.4 rebounds and 40 percent shooting. That is good for a 14.0 Player Efficiency Rating (PER) which would be his career low.
Ginobili, the catalyst to the Spurs’ second unit, has improved his play against the Lakers in his career. He’s averaged 15.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 29 minutes per game.
