Video: Thunder's Scott Brooks talks matchup against Spurs

Oklahoma City Thunder coach Scott Brooks talked prior to the game about their matchup with the San Antonio Spurs.

The 2009-10 Coach of the Year lavished praise on coach Gregg Popovich, adding that the Spurs winning 50 games is as common as death and taxes.

Death, taxes and Pop winning 50 games. You can count on them. He’s one of the best coaches. He gets the most out of all of his players and utilizes all of his players. He’s one of the best.

Brooks, whose Thunder squad has incrementally improved their winning percentage since his first season, said his team is excited to play against the Spurs, whose consistency is unparalleled.

You know they are going to play hard, you know they are going to pass the ball and you know they are going to play solid basketball for 48 minutes. We are excited about the challenge.

Hat-tip to Jeff Garcia of Project Spurs for the video.
