Report: L.D. Williams forgoes NBA for JL Bourg

L.D. Williams appeared in four games with the San Antonio Spurs’ summer league squad, including one start (where he scored 10 points and grabbed two boards.) He didn’t particularly impress with averages of 4.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and an abominable 23.1% shooting mark.

Without a roster spot available for him, he signed with the French team JL Bourg according to Basket News. Contract details are unspecified.

Williams hasn’t cracked a NBA roster after finishing his senior year at Wake Forest two years ago. He has the height of a 2-guard and the aggressiveness of one, but he doesn’t score proficiently enough to justify his poor shooting ability.

Ho-hum.
