Blair, Leonard named to USA select team

San Antonio Spurs forwards DeJuan Blair and Kawhi Leonard were named to the USA select team, according to Jeff Garcia of Project Spurs.

The select team will compete against the Olympic squad in a series of scrimmages this summer. Other rising, yet unproven, stars like Ryan Anderson, DeMarcus Cousins, DeMar DeRozan, Derrick Favors, Paul George, Taj Gibson, Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving, Jeremy Lin, Klay Thompson and John Wall will also be showcased on the select team.

While it’s unlikely, Blair and Leonard could make a name for themselves for future Olympic consideration if they play well.

Thanks for the shout out Q. Not many SAS blogs will do this, so it’s good to see you are one of the few to be professional. Keep up the good work.
