By now you’ve all heard that James Jones is on his way back to Miami..wink, wink…I guess we should have known that Pat Riley had that one up his sleeve the whole time.

If Phil Jackson is the Zen Master of the NBA, I nominate Pat Riley as the NBA’s Machiavellian Overlord.

Great title (patent it Bdiddy-remember '3-peat'!). The Life of Riley in basketball parallels Clint Eastwood's in Hollywood - every foray or move to a new ream seldom turns out bad. (One last missed shot in a game 7 from an NBA title with a third team). With Raja Bell (why does the league in general, and the Spurs in particular, let them pull off these moves that keeps them 3 steps ahead of everyone else?!!) going to the Lakers? I was initially down on him and Matt Barnes, but in hindsight we need a couple of players with an edge along with good defensive games. The front office and staff are rolling the dice with the youngsters to provide a naivte energy and drive to assist the veterans on this roster. Is it going to work?
