The San Antonio Spurs beat the Boston Celtics 94-73 last night in a nationally televised game at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston.
Manu Ginobli scored 28 points while DeJuan Blair and Richard Jefferson both pulled down 11 rebounds for the victorious Spurs.
San Antonio is playing tonight in New Jersey against the hapless Nets.

The San Antonio Spurs (40-26) will battle the Golden State Warriors (19-48) tonight at 8:30 p.m. from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be broadcast on FSN: Southwest and can be listened to on 1200 WOAI-AM.
The San Antonio Spurs won 2 of their last 3 games this week in pretty convincing fashion, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat while losing to the Orlando Magic.
The San Antonio Spurs got their first win since Tony Parker was injured on Saturday, defeating the New York Knicks 97-87 last night. Manu Ginobli scored 28 points for the victors and Antonio McDyess pulled down 12 rebounds.
San Antonio will return to the court tomorrow night against the Minnesota Timberwolves (14-51) at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central time. The game can be seen on Fox Sports Southwest and heard on 1200 WOAI-AM. The Spurs won the first meeting 117-99 on December 29th and the teams will play once more on April 12 in Minneapolis.

We’ll, last night the Spurs didn’t play very well against the Cavs. With Lebron and Shaq out with injuries, this was about as good of a time to play Cleveland as any would be, unfortunately it didn’t work out so well.
A great win for the Spurs was overshadowed by the loss of starting point guard Tony Parker to a broken hand. Parker, the teams 2nd leading scorer will miss around six weeks of action after breaking the hand in the 1st quarter.
The Monday night victory for the San Antonio Spurs over the New Orleans Hornets was re-ran on Friday night, saving the league thousands of dollars in arena and player fees. The game, which had been digitally remastered to change the floor to the Spurs home colors also, had an interview between two creepy looking guys that were both named Jeff.
For most of the season, it seemed like no lineup Gregg Popovich threw together would be successful for the Spurs. It was as if someone had put the Spurs hopes of success in a safe and we’re giving out the combination to anyone.
After a win yesterday against the Phoenix Suns, the Spurs (33-24) step into the Hornets nest to take on New Orleans (31-29). The game starts at 8 Eastern/7 Central and can be seen on FSN Southwest or heard on 1200 WOAI-AM.
When they first broke into the league I admit I used to confuse Jason Richardson and Richard Jefferson. Not because they looked the same, but over time, I figured out a way to correctly identify the two. Why do I bring this up? Because, yesterday, both were crucial players in the Spurs/Suns battle. Jefferson played one of his best games as a Spur, slashing to the hoop and hitting 3 pointers. Meanwhile, Richardson had an easy opportunity to tie the game, but missed an uncontested dunk with 41.8 seconds left.
