Michael Finley Staying In San Antonio

AUTHOR: | IN: Spurs | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

I am glad to say that Michael Finley will be returning to the San Antonio Spurs for another season.  Finley whom was one of four players that are free agents this year.  Finley held his option on his contract to the 2009-2010 season. This will be Michael’s fifth with the team. The man I feel has the sweetest shot in the NBA has just finished his 14th season with averages of 9.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 8 1 games. Good to see Finley wanting to comeback to the team.  Besides something good is happening for the Spurs in the [...]

San Antonio Pick Up Three In Draft

AUTHOR: | IN: Spurs | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The San Antonio Spurs did not have a pick in the first round of Thursday night’s draft so like all of us they had to wait for their shot of getting a player to help what has already come to be a pretty good team with the pick-up of Richard Jefferson in the trade later this week with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Spurs front office has been praised as being the best, and I feel we all will agree that it is the best. I feel they proved how good they are with the three picks we came through with. [...]

New Jersey and Orlando Agree To Trade

AUTHOR: | IN: Spurs | COMMENTS: None Yet

Don’t look now Cleveland but looks like the Orlando Magic have just got stronger. According to sources over at ESPN.com, they are saying the trade is Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to the Magic for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee. I don’t know about you guys but I hate to see this for Alston. It is a big slap in the face to him as he was a reason they got to the playoffs, let alone the finals. Guess we all saw this coming as Jameer Nelson came back in the finals and started to get more minutes [...]

I’m ready for the draft! Are you?

AUTHOR: | IN: Spurs | COMMENTS: None Yet

The city of New York will be front and center tonight as the NBA Draft will take place at 7:00 pm eastern standard time. Now we all know that Blake Griffin will go number one to that team in Los Angles (the non championship one). We all know that. It’s a given. But after the first pick everything seems to be up in the air. A lot of people and other blogs I have read are stating the spanich sensation Ricky Rubio will go number two, some say it could be Thabeet and also _________(place your pick). That is right [...]

Officially A Spur! Welcome to San Antonio!

AUTHOR: | IN: Spurs | COMMENTS: None Yet

The live press conference just finished and I don’t know about all of you but I sure had a smile on my face when I saw Richard Jefferson step into the room with RC Burford. “Speechless”. That is what Richard Jefferson stated when asked what he thought when he got that phone call saying he would be going to San Antonio. He quickly jumped into taking questions and I was impressed with the way he carried himself through them. One question that was asked to him was about how he would feel about taking a step back and not being the primary option for [...]

Bowen Could Return To Spurs

AUTHOR: | IN: Spurs | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Bruce Bowen could return home. Like many fans that follow the Spurs I was excited when I heard that we were going to be receiving Richard Jefferson and in the process sending out three players. Two of which I don’t really care for. Kurt Thomas has limited years left and Fabricio Oberto has that heart issue that he recently had surgery on and is doing fine.  Scratch that. I can’t really say I don’t care for those two guys cause they did come off of the bench and played some key minutes and did what they needed to do. Thomas [...]
