Boy did we need a dose of Manu lastnight!

Posted by: mikesatx

Boy oh boy. If you watched the game lastnight at the start I was grinning from ear to ear as I stated that this would not be the same team that met the Blazers way back in December.

Having a big lead to start the game and seeing that we were up by almost 20, a part of me didn’t feel comfortable with the lead so big.

Why?

Well Tim Duncan is not 100% as his knees have been giving him problems and also without one of if not the key guy off of the bench in Manu Ginobili.

The  young Blazers cut the defecit, and I mean cut it quick. Brandon Roy, who I feel is the most underrated player in the game did most of the scoring but it was Steve Blakes half court shot to end the first that really killed.

Damn, we needed Ginobili.

What we were missing off of the bench was key.

Energy.

There was not enough there. Gino would come off the bench and right away the others on the floor would follow with a an energy boost of their own. Now don’t get me wrong, the guys off the bench showed some urgency, I am not trying to take that away from them.

It’s just…….GINOBILI (insert Barkley inpersination).

We will truly missed the guy in the game against the Blazers as they cut our nineteen point lead down and took their first win in the San Antonio since 2002.

Now we go on. Heading towards the playoffs there is just one thing that I would like to ask all. Can we survive the playoffs without Manu?

            BallHype: hype it up!
